Welcome to Just Read 2 Me, LLC.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and JUSTREAD2ME LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a Limited Liability Company organized under the laws of the State of Georgia.

By accessing or using the website located at justread2.me (the "Site") and our related mobile applications and services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Just Read 2 Me provides a platform for users to record their voice reading physical books ("Recordings") and generate QR codes to link those Recordings to the physical book. The Service is intended for personal, archival, and family use.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and record content. Individuals under the age of 18 ("Listeners") may use the Service only to listen to Recordings via QR codes under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Accounts and Security

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Virtual Currency ("Book Slots") and Payments

  • 4.1. Pricing: The Service operates on a "Pay-Per-Pack" model. You may purchase "Book Slots" (also referred to as "Credits" or "Packs") which allow you to create and host Recordings.
  • 4.2. No Expiration: Purchased Book Slots do not expire and remain in your account until used.
  • 4.3. Refunds: All sales are final. Refunds are not provided for Book Slots that have already been used to create a Recording. Refund requests for unused Book Slots are evaluated at our sole discretion. If you experience technical issues, please contact hello@justread2.me for assistance.
  • 4.4. Payment Processing: We use Stripe for payment processing. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe’s terms and privacy policy. We do not store your full credit card information on our servers.

5. User Content and Copyright

  • 5.1. Ownership: You retain all ownership rights to the voice recordings you create ("User Content").
  • 5.2. License to Us: By uploading or creating User Content, you grant Just Read 2 Me, LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, store, reproduce, and perform the User Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service (i.e., playing the audio for the person who scans your QR code).
  • 5.3. Your Warranty: You represent and warrant that:
    • You own the physical book you are recording or have the legal right to create a personal archival copy.
    • Your Recording is for personal, non-commercial use (e.g., family reading).
    • You will not use the Service to distribute copyrighted audiobooks publicly or commercially.
    • Your User Content does not violate any third-party rights or contain hate speech, harassment, or illegal content.

6. Copyright Policy (DMCA)

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. It is our policy to remove content that violates the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA").

If you believe a Recording hosted on our Service infringes your copyright (for example, a QR code placed on a public library book or used for commercial distribution), please send a notice to legal@justread2.me including:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work.
  2. Identification of the infringing material (URL or QR Code ID).
  3. Your contact information.
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized.

We reserve the right to remove any content immediately and without prior notice upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer the Service.
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
  • Upload viruses or malicious code.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE QR CODES WILL REMAIN SCANNABLE INDEFINITELY OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JUST READ 2 ME, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without respect to its conflict of laws principles. Any claim or dispute between you and the Company that arises in whole or in part from the Service shall be decided exclusively by a court of competent jurisdiction located in Georgia.
